The Candyman

The Candyman

Name: Unknown (some claim he had a human name once, but it was lost to time)

Alias: The Candyman

Age: Ancient—his true existence spans longer than recorded history

Appearance: A towering, spider-like entity with a grotesque humanoid torso; eyes like black voids, limbs covered in silken strands, fangs glistening with hunger

Domain: The Third Floor—a shifting pocket dimension within The In-Between

Nature: A predator, an anomaly, a horror born from the fabric of forgotten places

Origins

The Candyman was never meant to exist. He is an aberration, a being that formed from the fractures in reality, emerging where the boundaries between worlds grew thin and unstable. Some whisper that he was once human, a man lost in a place he should never have wandered into—but if that is true, there is nothing human left in him now.
The Third Floor

This is his lair, his hunting ground—a place that does not appear on blueprints or school maps, yet somehow exists in every school. Some stumble upon it by accident. Some find it because they are meant to. But once inside, the halls stretch longer than they should, twisting at unnatural angles, the air heavy with silence. And in the dark corners, he waits.

Hunger & Hunting

The Candyman does not kill for survival. He kills because he enjoys it. His victims—children, adults, anyone unlucky enough to step into his nest—are consumed entirely. Bones pile up in forgotten rooms, silk cocoons cling to the walls, whispering with muffled cries from those who were taken but not yet eaten.

The Yellow Queen's Influence

If The Third Floor is an extension of The In-Between, then The Candyman exists beneath the notice of The Yellow Queen—or perhaps, she chooses not to interfere, letting him remain in his endless cycle of hunting and feeding. But for Fox Smith and Nathan King, her protection ensured their escape—the only reason they survived was because she had a plan for them.

The Spawn

The Candyman does not work alone—his offspring, born from the women he keeps alive, scuttle through the nest, ensuring no one escapes. They are mindless, driven only by instinct and obedience, like worker ants in a hive, serving their monstrous creator without question.

Fear Beyond Death

Those who do not die still feel him. Survivors, if there are any, speak of silken whispers in the night, a hunger that never quite fades, a lurking sensation that he remembers them, even if they escaped. Some claim he visits their dreams, shaping the shadows of their nightmares into his twisted, grinning face.
There is no mercy in The Third Floor.

There is only The Candyman.

The Candyman

Name: Unknown (Once human, now something else entirely)

Alias: The Candyman

Age: Ageless—no one knows how long he has existed, only that his presence lingers across countless abandoned places

Appearance: A grotesque, towering figure—a hybrid of man and arachnid, limbs unnaturally elongated, body twisted beyond recognition

Domain: The Third Floor—a pocket dimension within The In-Between, serving as both his nest and his hunting ground

Nature: Predator, corrupter, creator—he does not simply kill his victims; he remakes them

Origins

No one truly remembers where The Candyman came from. Some whisper that he was once a man, lost in the shifting chaos of The In-Between, twisted into something else—something that no longer resembles the human he once was. Others claim he was never human at all, merely an entity that formed where reality had begun to unravel.
Regardless of his origin, one thing remains true: he does not hunt for survival. He hunts because it pleases him.

The Third Floor

The Third Floor is his kingdom, a fragmented reality that moves from school to school, unnoticed until it claims new victims. Within its halls, time bends unnaturally—corridors stretch into infinite dark, doors do not lead where they should, and silence weighs heavy, suffocating all who enter.
There are whispers of children who vanished, pulled into the Third Floor, never returning. But the truth is far worse—because some do return. Just not as they were.

The Children That Become His Spawn

Not all victims die in The Third Floor. Some are transformed.

Those who survive long enough become part of his nest, their bodies warped beyond recognition. Their limbs lengthen, bones harden, eyes darken into glistening voids. Their minds slowly unravel, their thoughts dissolving into obedience and hunger, until they are no longer children, no longer human—just creatures molded to serve him, to weave his lair, to ensure that no one ever escapes.

These twisted offspring are proof of his cruelty. They are also proof of his intelligence—a predator who does not simply consume, but repurposes, ensuring that his victims never truly leave his grasp.

The Yellow Queen’s Influence

The Candyman lurks within The In-Between, but that does not mean he holds true power. He is just another horror, shaped by the void—but there are forces within The In-Between that even he fears.

The Yellow Queen is one of them.

When Fox Smith and Nathan King found themselves trapped in The Third Floor, it was her presence that protected them. She did not fight him—she simply made it so he could not touch them. He watched them, unable to strike, unable to feed, unable to understand why these two were untouchable.

She did not destroy The Third Floor. She simply moved it, severing its grip, forcing it to reform elsewhere, waiting for new prey.

Echoes of The Candyman

Those who escape The Third Floor never truly leave him behind. He remains in their dreams, lingering in the corners of their thoughts—whispers of silk brushing against their skin, shadows stretching unnaturally in their peripheral vision.
And sometimes, late at night, they hear something scraping against the walls, just beyond their reach.
Because once he has seen you, once you have stood within his nest, you are never truly forgotten.
